| 1995 | Under the pressure of lost markets of former Yugoslavia and Soviet Union KEKO was forced to close its doors. In Oct. 1995 on the remains of KEKO was established KEKO VARICON with the help of Technological Development Found of Slovenia with DM 120.000 in capital in rented facility of former company KEKO taking over its production of disc ceramic capacititors and varistors. | |
| 1996 | Multilayer varistors - varicons and dual function varicons were introduced into production of KEKO VARICON in 1996. KEKO VARICON bought ISKRA SEMI, the company where development of thermoplastic encapsulated components was initiated. | |
| 1997 | KEKO VARICON bought production facility of ~ 6,000 m2 and equipment from former company KEKO. | |
| 1999 | Horizonte Venture Management joined KEKO VARICON as an investor becoming its major owner. In that year KEKO VARICON started new investment cycle into equipment, human resources, approvals and in establishment of agency and distribution network throughout Europe. In October 1999 KEKO VARICON attained ISO 9001. KEKO VARICON established Institute for Development of Electronic Components. | |
